Thank you for supporting Motherhoard. Our goal is to provide high-quality, hand-built controllers that give players the tools they need to focus on the game—not fight against it. The following terms outline our approach to returns, repairs, and customer support.
Purpose
This policy defines the terms of sale and eligibility for refunds or repairs, helping ensure a clear and fair experience for everyone.
Scope
These terms apply to all purchases made through motherhoard.com.
Standard Return Policy
Due to the custom nature of our controllers and modification work, all sales are final. We do not accept returns for preference-based reasons (e.g., feel, stick tension, etc.). Please read each product description carefully and reach out with questions before purchasing.
Defective Products
If a controller arrives with a functional issue (e.g., unresponsive inputs, sensor failure), please notify us within 5 days of delivery. Valid issues will be assessed and either repaired or replaced, depending on the situation.
To start a claim, contact us via email or the contact form on our site. Include a detailed description and, if possible, a short video showing the issue.
Post-Purchase Support
Motherhoard offers paid repairs and tuning for out-of-warranty items or controllers that need service beyond the initial defect window.
Customers are responsible for shipping the product in; return shipping is covered by Motherhoard once service is complete.
Modifications and Third-Party Use
Controllers modified outside of Motherhoard—especially firmware changes, soldering, or alterations to the internal components—may void any warranty or service eligibility.
Controllers are tested and built for compatibility with standard GameCube hardware. Use with third-party adapters, cables, or accessories is at your own risk.
